About us

We are ‘Hope for the Peninsula’ - an outreach ministry of Living Water. We began as a group of Christian men and women from various church backgrounds, all having a heart for the lost, poor, broken, rejected, sick, bereaved, and oppressed members of our community.  As we met together weekly in a local home, the Lord gave us a vision and a calling to open a place of hope in Millisle.  He always provides and equips when He calls, and this was no exception.  He made provision for a building at 43b Main St., and we opened 'The Hope Centre' there on August 23rd 2013.

The purpose of our little ‘Hope Centre’ is to create a refuge for those who have lost hope, to welcome anyone in, regardless of social status or acceptability, to preach the saving, healing and delivering power of the Lord Jesus, and TO POUR OUT HIS LOVE UPON THEM. Whether this be through chatting over a free cup of tea or coffee, distributing necessities from a small storehouse, or praying for healing and deliverance; whatever servants of the Lord can do for the people that come through our door, that is what we do. We also have a small collection of items which we sell to cover operating costs. Our goal, however, in selling items is not to raise funds for anything other than the centre itself; our primary goal is to serve and bless the community, not raise funds.

So please do come along and see what we’re about, and let us know how we can be a blessing to you!
